The new V-Ray Swarm is a web-based distributed rendering system. It is a simple yet powerful way to split your rendering across multiple computers. Setting up Swarm is easy, and it is designed to update automatically to match your version of V-Ray version.

For information on how to use and configure Swarm after installation, see the Swarm Settings page.

The V-Ray Swarm installation is bundled within the V-Ray for SketchUp installation by default.

Installation Process

...

V-Ray Swarm can be installed either as a separate installer that can be downloaded from https://download.chaosgroup.com or bundled together with V-Ray for SketchUp in a single installer.

V-Ray Swarm installer will automatically remove any previous installations. If you experience problems, you can manually uninstall the currently installed version to perform a clean install. The first step is to install Swarm on your render machines. You’ll only need to do this once per machine. It is not necessary to install Sketchup on machines that will perform only rendering; you will just install Swarm.
