Overview

This guide serves as a reference for enabling the Free Trial provided by Chaos. Note that you cannot download a free trial, if there is already a commercial license installed on your machine. To run a free trial, you will

You need to:

Access the Free Trial Products

Go to https://the Free Trial page, accessible on www.chaos.com/free-trial by clicking Try in the upper right corner.

Select and click on Start your trial. 

This takes you to the Chaos login page.

If you already have an account, you sign in with your credentials.

If you do not have an account, Create and activate one, and then sign inYou are then prompted to Sign in. If you don't have a Chaos account, click on Create account to create and activate a new account.

Downloading a V-Ray Product Trial

After signing in,

you are directed to the following screen. Select your industry and role and click Continue.

2. Select your primary tool of choice and your host platform and click Continue.

complete the registration form. Your Free Trial will be active for the next 30 days.

button to go to the Download section. Please note that the product listed under Tool of choice will differ according to the host platform selected in the previous step.

4. Select your product and the version of your host platform. Download and install the file and you are ready to go

Navigate to the product version that supports the host application version you use. Download and install the product. If you need to try more than one product with your trial, repeat the download steps for all the products you'd like to try.

NextFinally, you have need to sign in to the License Server. Open

After installation, the License Server webpage opens automatically.

Alternatively, you can open the Manage Chaos License Server app . It automatically loads the License Server in a new webpage. Alternatively, enter 127.0.0.1to bring up the interface or type localhost:30304 in a browser.

From the drop-down menu of Online licensing dropdown menu, click select Sign in and enter your credentials. The login credentials are the same you use to log in to chaos.com. Once you enter them, your License Server and V-Ray for Maya trial will be activeProduct Trial is available to you.
