Installation

The installation of the tool comes with the installation of V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max, update 1 and later.

To access the scripttool, in 3ds Max go to ||Vantage toolbar|| >Export and send the current scene as static .vrscene to Chaos Vantage (VantageToolbar_VantageSend)

If the button is not visible, press and hold the Export and send the current animation range as a .vrscene to Chaos Vantage(VantageToolbar_VantageSendAnim) button to open the drop-down dropdown menu.

To use the scripttool, just click on the Export and send the current scene as static .vrscene to Chaos Vantage (VantageToolbar_VantageSendImage Added)or Export and send the current animation range as a .vrscene to Chaos Vantage (VantageToolbar_VantageSendAnimImage Added)button. The script will tool automatically:

  • Detect Detects if you are using V-Ray 5 GPU as a renderer and ask asks if you would like to switch to it.
  • Stop Stops IPR or Live Link session currently running.
  • Start Starts Chaos Vantage if it is not already running.
  • Еxport Еxports the scene in a .vrscene file in the .max project location with the name of the .max file.
  • Open Opens the scene in Chaos Vantage.
