This guide serves as a reference for enabling the Free Trial provided by Chaos.

Access the Free Trial products

Go to www.chaosgroup.com and press on the Try button in the upper right corner.

Obtaining V-Ray for Revit

This section describes the setting up of your account and downloading the V-Ray for Revit Trial.

Creating your account

On the Free Trial page, select Stat your trial.

 The first step in obtaining the trial version of V-Ray for Revit is to create an account. Go to our Trial download page and press the Download V-Ray for Revit Trial link.

Next, you will be asked to create an account if you do not have one or to Sign InThis takes you to the Chaos login page.
If you already have an account, you just need to sign in with your credentials.

If you already do not have an account, you will just need to sign in with your credentials:press on Create account, fill in your Email and create a Username and Password. Then press on the Continue button.

The following screen appears. Activate your account with the provided activation link from your email.

Downloading the trial version

After signing into the website, you will be directed to the V-Ray for Revit trial download screen. Choose between Business, Student, Educator, or Individual, and press the START MY TRIAL NOW button.

The activation button from the email takes you to the page below where you fill in your First and Last name, Country or region and your Company name (optional). 

Your account is ready to use. Press the Sign in button and access with your credentials.

After signing in, you are directed to the following screen. Select between Business, Student, Educator, or Individual and press the Start my trial now button the site has finished processing the request, you should see the message shown below. Click on the Download Trial button.

From there, Your Free Trial will be active for the next 30 days. Select Download trial and you will be redirected to the download page for V-Ray for Revit.Downloads page.

Select which version you need to download. Install the downloaded file. For more info on how to do it, see the Installation of V-Ray for Revit page.

your product and the version of your host platform. Download and install the file and you are ready to go. If you need to try more than one product with your trial, repeat the download steps for all the products you'd like to try.

Sign in to the License Server

Next, you have to sign in to the License Server. Open the Manage Chaos License Server app. It automatically loads the License Server in a new webpage. Alternatively, enter Once the installation of the License Server is done, you are directed to the License Server local host (127.0.0.1:30304) in order to sign in and activate it in a browser. From the drop-down menu of Online licensing, press Sign in and enter your credentials. The login credentials are the same you use to log in to chaosgroup.com. Once you enter them, your License Server and V-Ray for Revit trial will be active.
