Export Camera Animation & Export Sun Animation – Exporting Camera or Sun animation from Grasshopper directly to the Rhino project can be done via the Render in Project component. The commands are available by right-clicking on the component name/icon. The animation exported from Grasshopper to Rhino will not be preserved in the Rhino project (.3dm) file. It will be available during the active session but if closed and reopened, the animation will need to be reimported from the Grasshopper (.gh) file via the V-Ray Render in Project component. Note that only one external animation can be hosted in the Rhino project this way. This means Camera and Sun animations cannot be exported to Rhino simultaneously.
Render in Rhino – Using this command triggers the V-Ray render process in Rhino. Render Animation in Rhino – Executes a render in Rhino for every frame of the current Grasshopper animation. The definition objects in their corresponding state are rendered too. Note that it uses Rhino render settings, environment, and Sun light. |
