Overview


The following tools and utilities come installed with V-Ray for Rhino. For more information about each tool, see its individual page.

 

V-Ray Standalone Command Line Options

The V-Ray Standalone tool is a command-line rendering tool supporting V-Ray's native .vrscene file format.

Denoiser Tool

A command-line utility that can be used to denoise still images or animations outside of SketchUp.

Convert Images to Tiled EXRs

The V-Ray Image to EXR Converter converts .vrimg files to EXR format so the render elements may be loaded into compositing software, where they can be used for compositing or for other adjustments and fine-tuning at the render element level.

Irradiance Map Viewer

The Irradiance Map viewer tool allows you to navigate around a 3D projected version of a scene to view where GI samples were taken during the rendering process.

OBJ GEO PLY to .vrmesh converter

The ply2vrmesh command-line utility can convert .ply, .obj, .bin, .geo, .bgeo, .hclassic, .bhclassic, .abc, and .vrscene files to .vrmesh files for rendering with V-Ray through V-Ray Proxy Objects.

V-Ray Image to EXR Converter

The V-Ray Image to EXR Converter converts .vrimg files to EXR format so the render elements may be loaded into compositing software, where they can be used for Back-to-Beauty compositing or for other adjustments and fine-tuning at the render element level.

V-Ray mesh viewer

The V-Ray Mesh Viewer is a tool that previews V-Ray mesh and alembic files. It can display both static and animated meshes.

Plugininfo Tool

The plugininfo tool generates documentation for all V-Ray plugins. It can be used to list all V-Ray plugins or to display a detailed information for a specific one by using the commands from the Options table.

Filter Generator Tool

The Filter Generator is a tool for composing filters (HDR images in *.hdr format). It is specially designed to produce filters for the Lens Effects.
