Overview
In Enscape, it is possible to create and save pre-defined Views and then link those Views to a Settings Preset that has been Saved to the Project.
The basic procedure to create a view is:
Choose the camera view position in the Enscape Viewport
Position the sun (optional)
Click the Create View button
You цан find the Create View button located in the View Management area of the Enscape Viewport toolbar. This means that you must have Enscape running and the Enscape Viewport in focus.
If you want to delete a view, that has to be done from within Archicad.

The View Management Panel
Once you have clicked the View Management button, the associated panel opens. Here, you can see a Search field, two View categories: Favorites and Untitled (the second being a dynamic category that is replaced with the open CAD project name), and the Create View button.

Create a View in Enscape
You can create a View directly in Enscape or via Archicad. What follows is the method for achieving this directly in Enscape and the methods for achieving this in Archicad.
You have decided on a position in your project from which you would like to create a View. Once you have also set any camera-specific settings or Visual Settings, including applying styles to the project geometry in Archicad, click the Create button. This opens the Create View panel, where you are prompted to provide the CAD View Name, optionally Mark the View as a Favorite, and use the Linked Visual Preset option, which is discussed in the Link Views to Settings Presets page. You can also save the Sun Position and Update the View. The latter options can also be edited and applied at a later date.
Giving the View a CAD Name
If you haven’t named the View, the Create button will not be available. So, name the View first, which allows you to click the Create button to save your first View in Enscape.
Giving the View a CAD Name
Click the left-pointing arrow/chevron located to the left of Edit View to go back to the View Management panel. Or, click the X to the right of Edit View to close down the View Management panel altogether.

How to Create a View in Archicad
Along with the method to create a View within Enscape you can also create a View from within Archicad using the native tools there.
To create a VIew using the Archicad UI, open a project in Archicad and make sure you have a 3D View open (Perspective or Axonometry). Enable the Live Update and Synchronize Views functions in Enscape and set up the View you want to create in either the Archicad or the Enscape viewport.
In the Archicad Navigator panel, make sure you have View Map selected, which should only list the name of the currently open project.
To now create a View, click Save Current View from the icons at the bottom of the View Map panel.
You are then presented with a new window named ‘Save View’. By default, the name of the view is set to By Project Map, and you are not able to rename your view. Change this to Custom, and you are now able to rename your view. Once done, click the Create button at the bottom right corner of the Save View window.

The window then closes, and your newly created view is listed in the View Map panel. It is also listed in Archicad’s View Map panel and in the Enscape View Management panel.
You can set the initial Time of Day for a View by right-clicking on the View in the View Map panel and selecting the 3D Projection Settings option in the menu.

Once you click OK, the project updates, and you can see these changes in the Enscape window.
It is then also possible to independently adjust the Time of Day within Enscape using the Right Mouse button+Shift+left/right mouse drag. But that change does not save to the View that is listed in the Archicad View Map panel, unless you set the 3D Projection Settings for the Perspective/Axonometry globally.

Select and Update a View in Archicad
You can select a View in Archicad from either the CAD’s View Map dialog, or from Enscape’s View Management dialog.
When selecting the View from the View Map dialog, if Synchronize Views is disabled in Enscape, then only the Viewport in Archicad updates.
Select a View in Archicad
This is not the case if selecting the View from Enscape’s View Management panel. When Synchronize View is disabled, Enscape smoothly pans between the Named Views, and the View ‘snaps’ to the selected View in the Archicad viewport. If Synchronize Views is enabled, then the View also ‘snaps’ in the Enscape window, just like it does in the Acrhicad Viewport.
To update a View in Archicad, make the adjustment to the view in Archicad. Select the View Settings button, and from the dialog select the Get Current Window’s Settings button, which can be found at the top of the View Settings dialog and then click OK. This should update the View in both Archicad and Enscape.
Update a View in Enscape
To update a view with a new position, click the Edit button on the view you would like to update.
Edit View Button
You should now see a section called Camera. This is where you have a section for the X, Y, and Z Orientation, Pitch*, and Yaw*.
*Pitch is the degrees up and down
*Yaw is the degree in rotation
Update Views Settings
Once you start moving around in the Enscape window to the new desired position, you can see all these values updated.
*If you want to undo this, click the undo button.
Once you are happy with the new view position, click the Save button at the bottom of the menu. The new changes are then reflected in Archicad.
