Enscape 4.3.0

Release Notes 29.01.2025

New

  • [Impact] Improved Workflow and User Interface: A new stepper-based onboarding process has been introduced to guide users through the initial setup of a new project. Additionally, we’ve updated the dashboard with clearer explanations and moved the false color visualization directly to the dashboard for easier access. The Impact icon has also been refreshed for a more modern look. To start with the new workflow, simply click the Impact button, and the stepper will guide you.

  • [Impact] Improved Calculation Accuracy: Calculation accuracy has been enhanced by refining the detection of windows. This includes an adjustment to the window frame ratio, ensuring more reliable results in your building performance analysis.
  • [Impact] Faster geometry detection: Geometry detection has been optimized, making the process twice as fast and enabling users to access analysis results more quickly and efficiently.
  • License Expired Notification: If your license has expired, you’ll now see a clear overlay with steps to renew or purchase a new license.

  • Automatic License Engagement: After signing in, Enscape will now attempt to automatically engage a license if available, reducing the need to reopen windows or restart workflows.
  • Trial Watermark Display: A small watermark has been reintroduced in the corner of renderings for trial users.

Fixed Bugs

  • Improved batch render performance in SketchUp to avoid crashes and reduce render times, matching performance levels seen in other CADs.
  • Resolved a crash when closing Enscape while it was trying to connect to an invalid license server.
  • Fixed a problem where the migration popup blocked the sign-out confirmation window, ensuring smoother account management.
  • Fixed an issue where Enscape buttons in the Revit toolbar were grayed out when projects were opened via double-click instead of via the Revit Manager.
  • Resolved freezing during VRScene export when working with section planes in SketchUp.
  • On machines without prior Enscape installation, the Custom Asset Editor fails to open when accessed standalone or via the "+" icon in the Custom Asset Tab.
  • Fixed an issue where Enscape appeared as a separate taskbar icon when used with Vectorworks 2024 2.1.
