This page provides a list of all Legacy Lights available in V-Ray for Blender.


Overview

V-Ray legacy lights are a category of non-physically accurate lights. The legacy lights are appropriate to use in some scenarios, for example, in combination with V-Ray Toon material.


Spot Light

Create a light that directs a narrow beam of light with falloff.

Omni Light

The Omni light emits light from a single location in all directions.                          

Direct Light

Casts parallel light rays in a specified direction.                                                                                                                                                                                         

Ambient Light

Create light that doesn't come from a specific direction. It can be used to simulate GI, ambient occlusion, etc., and it lights the entire scene evenly.
