This page provides information about the Coverage Render Element in V-Ray for Cinema 4D.
Overview
The Coverage Render Element holds anti-aliasing data based on the Render ID Render Element. When the Coverage Render Element is multiplied by the Render ID Render Element in compositing, it adds anti-aliasing to the Render ID channel, providing a quick object mask. See the example for a visual of this use case.

Example Use Case
In this example, we selected only the fender and the roof in the render using the Render ID render element, multiplied by the Coverage RE, to give us anti-aliasing. We've then changed the color hue of the selection using the parameters in the V-Ray Frame Buffer.
