This page provides information about the Remap node in V-Ray for Cinema 4D.

Overview

The Remap is a utility for remapping different types of values. For example, it can remap a single value, three-channel inputs, and colors.

Parameters

Type – Specifies the type of remapping to perform:

Remap Color – Remaps a three-channel input (i.e. RGB color).
Remap HSV – Remaps RGB color and allows for fine control over its hue, saturation and value.

Input – Specifies the map/node to be remapped. Solid color is applied by default.

Color Spline Type – Specifies the spline type for the channel:

Combined – Remaps all three channels simultaneously.
RGB – Separates the R, G and B channels and allows for individual remapping.

Spline – Expand to access a graph with values ranging from 0 to 1. You can move the two handles to adjust the remap output. If the Color Spline Type is set to RGB, this option is split into a Red, Green and Blue graph, which affects the respective color.
When the Type is set to Remap HSV, the Spline option is split into Hue, Saturation and Value graphs, which can be used to adjust the respective outputs.

Set Range

Input Min/Max – Specifies the range for the input. Values outside the range are clipped.

Output Min/Max – Specifies the range for the output.
