This page provides information about the known limitations of Chaos Cloud Rendering.

Known Issues

  • Rendering of large resolution images (13k x 13k) may result in an out of memory error;
  • .exr files might not get denoised upon completion of the render. The denoiser channel is available in the .exr.
  • Forest pack limit to visibility option is not working correctly with VRayPhysical camera;
  • When a render is interrupted on the Cloud at the end of the rendering process, a PNG file is not complete.
  • Anima 4D people export to Chaos Cloud Rendering produces large size files and their upload to the Cloud might be sluggish.
  • Some artifacts may appear when Subsurface Scattering and Adaptive Lights are used in the scene.
  • Buckets (Bucket Image Sampler) could hang when there are multiple overlapping VRayVolumeGrid in the scene, or if their Volumetric Motion Blur is set to Grid-based instead of Ray-traced.
  • Clouds created with V-Ray Sun and Sky are not visible in the alpha channel.
  • Scenes can take a lot of time at 100% when uploading, if there are thousands of pieces, or packages that have to be uploaded.
  • When rendering an animation containing Cloner with MoGraph Cache (Cinema 4D), small objects appear in some of the frames.
  • There is a difference in bump mapping when using VRayColor2Bump only and VRayColor2Bump with VRayNormalMap.
  • When rendering subdivided geometry with a V-Ray Stochastic Flakes Material containing a significantly increased Number of Flakes, the rendering process crashes on the Cloud.
