Where can I download Scatter?
Chaos Scatter is included in the V-Ray for 3ds Max installer. You can download V-Ray here.
Do I need a separate license?
Chaos Scatter requires its own license for versions V-Ray 7.1 and earlier. Starting with version V-Ray 7 update 1 such a license is not needed, but it will still be available in your account for backward compatibility.
How do I install Scatter?
Chaos Scatter is installed automatically with V-Ray 6 and newer.
How do I activate my license?
You only need to activate your V-Ray license. If you can use V-Ray, then you can also use Chaos Scatter.
Where can I find Scatter in 3ds Max?
Once you install V-Ray, you can find Chaos Scatter and the tools related to it in the dedicated Chaos Scatter toolbar. If you don’t see the toolbar, click on the Main toolbar and enable the Chaos Scatter toolbar from the available dropdown menu.
Can I use it with V-Ray 5 or earlier?
No. V-Ray 5 and earlier do not support Chaos Scatter.
