This page provides information on the Chaos Telemetry program.
Overview
The V-Ray improvement program is based on telemetry. It allows Chaos to track general V-Ray usage statistics. The type of information that will be collected includes some parameter values people use most often, which will let Chaos optimize and improve V-Ray's performance. No personal identifiable information, scenes, assets, or materials will be collected.
The collected data is sent daily, and is stored locally in vray.unreal.message.log files viewable with a text editor. The files can be found in the temp folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\ChaosGroup\telemetry .
Enable Feedback Program
The Feedback program is enabled by default when you run the installer. After a successful installation on the last page there is a checkbox toggle Help us Improve V-Ray for Unreal to enable or disable the customer feedback program.
Feedback Program Settings
Collection and transmission of usage statistics can be disabled or renewed at any time through the V-Ray Project Setting in Unreal
