This page provides information about the Infinite Plane in V-Ray for Grasshopper.

Overview

V-Ray Infinite Plane is a geometric object that generates an infinitely big procedural surface.

Input Parameters

Geo (Generic Data) – Geometries input expected. By default the Infinite Plane is placed at the scene origin. When an object or group of objects is connected here the plane is automatically placed underneath the objects bounding-box.

Mtl (Generic Data) – V-Ray Material input expected.

Sh. Catch On (Boolean) – V-Ray Material input expected.

Z Offset (Number) – Offsets the position of the Infinite Plane along the Z axis. Negative values can also be used here. While a Geometry input is present (including ProxyMesh and ProxyScene components), the Z offset value will be ignored.

From Geo (Boolean) – Calculates the Z position as the lowest point of the plugged-in geometry.

Output Parameters

V Geo (Generic Data) – V-Ray Geometry output. Can be connected to the Renderer's Geometry slot.
