Assets: Note that the Cosmos geometry is imported as V-Ray Proxy. You can refer to the V-Ray Proxy page for additional information. Any material in the scene can be used to override the shader and allows for quick customizations of the scene. You can find the newest assets in the Recently added section of the Cosmos browser. |
HDRI: The HDRI assets create a Dome Light with the hdri file attached to it. It is recommended to use VRayPhysicalCamera when using Cosmos hdri files for lighting. Alternatively, you can lower the dome light intensity. |
Chaos Scans: Starting with V-Ray 7, the Materials section also contains Chaos Scans materials which are marked by the Chaos Scans ( ) marker. Imported Chaos Scans materials require a separate Chaos Scans plugin license in order to be modified. They do not require a separate license to be downloaded and rendered. |

If you open a scene that contains Chaos Cosmos assets which are no longer present on the local machine, you can download them from the V-Ray Cosmos Downloader. The downloader is accessible from the V-Ray menu > Cosmos Downloader.
This example shows a scene without Cosmos assets and the same scene using Chaos Cosmos assets.
