This page provides details on how to save and load preset files for simulation and rendering.
Overview
The Presets rollout allows you to save the parameters of the simulator to files on your storage, and then load them back. You can load a preset for a group of simulators if you select them together and load the preset from one of them. Particular groups of parameters can be managed in contrast to the default Maya preset system (the Presets* button at the top of the Attribute Editor).
Note that links to sets, nodes or textures are not saved and loaded from presets because loading a preset in a different scene where the linked nodes do not exist will error out.
