This page provides information about the Cellular node in V-Ray for Cinema 4D.
Overview
Parameters
Type – Specifies the type of Cellular texture.
Dots
Chips
Cells
Chess cells
Plasma
Space – Controls how the texture is positioned on the geometry.
UV (2D) – Uses the object UV coordinates to map the effect.
Texture – Uses an external UV placement source to map the effect.
Background Color – Controls the color of the background.
Center Color – Controls the color of the center of the cells.
Edge Color – Controls the color of the edges of the cells.
Size – Controls the size of the cellular procedural effect.
Spread – Controls the size of each cell.
Density – Controls the number of the cells. Higher value results in more cells tightly packed in the area. Lower value increases the size of each cell, while reducing the number of cells created.
Low – This parameter is a threshold for the Center Color.
Middle – This parameter is a threshold for the Edge Color.
High – This parameter is a threshold for the Background Color.
Fractal – Enables or disables the usage of fractal patterns in the creation of the procedural effect.
Fractal Iterations – Specifies the number of iterations for the fractal pattern. For example, the default value of 3 means the fractal pattern is applied three times.
Fractal Roughness – When Cellular is used as a bitmap, this parameter controls the roughness of the bumps. Higher values make for smooth results, a value of 1.0 means no fractal.
Context
Context – Allows the attachment of a Context node (UVW generator) to adjust the UVWs of the texture. For more information, visit the Context Nodes page.
