This page provides information about the Maxon Noise node in V-Ray for Cinema 4D.

Overview

The Maxon Noise node is a V-Ray implementation of the Noise texture found natively in Cinema 4D.

Parameters

Color 1/2 – Controls the two noise colors.

Seed – Randomizes the noise pattern.

Noise – Specifies the type of the noise.

Octaves – Specifies the level of detail of the noise.

Space – Specifies which space to use for the calculation of the noise.

Global Scale – Specifies a global scale as a percentage.

Relative Scale – Scales the noise according to U/V/W coordinates in percent.

Anim Speed – Specifies a rate, at which the noise is animated.

Loop Period – Loops the noise in accordance with the animation speed (in seconds). Does not work for Electric, Gaseous, Random and Wavy Turbulence Noise types.

Movement – Specifies a direction for the noise during animation.

Speed – Specifies the noise speed of movement during animation.

Absolute –

Cycles – Specifies the number of noise cycles.

Low/ High Clip – Specifies a low and high point of clipping for the noise.

Brightness – Specifies the overall brightness.

Contrast – Specifies the overall contrast.

Context

Context – Allows attachment of a Context node (UVW generator) to adjust the UVWs of the texture. For more information, visit the Context Nodes page.
