This page provides information about the Noise Max node in V-Ray for Cinema 4D.

Overview

The Noise Max node generates a procedural noise texture. It uses an implementation similar to that of 3ds Max. It uses two colors that can also have texture maps assigned to them.

Properties

Type – Specifies the type of noise to be created:

Regular
Fractal
Turbulence

Space – Controls how the texture is positioned on the geometry.

UV (2D) – Uses the object UV coordinates to map the effect.
Texture – Uses an external UV placement source to map the effect.

Color 1 – Specifies the first noise color.

Color 2 – Specifies the second noise color.

Size – Controls the scale of the noise.

Iterations – Specifies the amount of noise iterations.

Phase – When the noise is animated, it changes the start and end point of the noise waves.

Noise Threshold

Low – Controls the color of large details: low values are lighter, higher values are darker.

High – Controls the color of smaller details: low values are lighter, higher values are darker.

Context

Context – Allows the attachment of a Context node (UVW generator) to adjust the UVWs of the texture. For more information, visit the Context Nodes page.
