This page offers information about the V-Ray Smoke Node in Cinema 4D.

Overview

The Smoke node can be used to generate a procedural texture that gives a smoke-like effect. It uses two colors that can have texture maps assigned to them.

Properties

Space – Controls how the texture is positioned on the geometry.

UV (2D) – Uses the object UV coordinates to map the effect.
Texture – Uses an external UV placement source to map the effect.

Color 1 – Controls the first color of the Smoke procedural effect.

Color 2 – Controls the second color of the Smoke procedural effect.

Size – Controls the scale of the procedural texture.

Iterations –  Controls how many times the procedural effect repeats the process.

Phase – Shifts the turbulence within the smoke pattern. This parameter is useful when the smoke pattern is animated - it can shift the start and end of the effect between frames.

Exponent – Controls the contrast of the smoke texture.

Context

Context – Allows the attachment of a Context node (UVW generator) to adjust the UVWs of the texture. For more information, visit the Context Nodes page.
