This page provides information about multi-selection and bulk actions in Chaos Cloud Collaboration.
Overview
In Cloud Collaboration, you can select multiple items and perform the same operation on all of them at once. The selection of multiple items is called multi-selection, and the operations performed on the selected items are called bulk operations.
Multi-Selection
Hover over an item – a project, folder, virtual tour, or a file – and the multi-selection checkbox (
) instantly appears. Click the checkbox of the respective item to select the item.
You can also click the Select All checkbox in the header to select all items.
You can select items in both Grid view and List view. All selected items are marked by a blue checkbox (
).
You can select items from My Project, Shared with me, and Trash tabs.
Hold Shift and click to select multiple items.
Bulk Actions
Bulk actions can be performed on projects, folders, virtual tours, and files. Depending on the selected items, the actions could be remove, remove forever, move, copy, and restore. The actions also depend on whether the items are selected in My Project, Shared with me or Trash.
When removing multiple items, the selected items will be deleted forever after 60 days. If these items are shared, editors can restore them and viewers can still view them until they are permanently deleted. You can restore the items or delete them permanently from the Trash.
Projects
The following action is available on a selection of multiple projects.
Remove – Removes all selected projects and sends them to Trash.
Folders and Virtual Tours
The following actions are available on a selection of multiple folders and/or virtual tours.
Remove – Removes all selected folders and/or virtual tours and sends them to the Trash.
Copy – Copies all selected folders and/or virtual tours, prompts you to specify a project and pastes them in the selected project.
Move to – Moves all selected folders and /or virtual tours to a specified project.
Files
The following actions are available on a selection of multiple files.
Remove – Removes all selected files and sends them to the Trash.
Copy – Copies all selected files, prompts you to specify a project, folder, or virtual tour, and pastes the files there.
Move to – Moves all selected files to a specified project, folder, or virtual tour.
Shared with me
The following actions are available on a selection of multiple items.
Remove – Removes all selected files and sends them to the Trash. The files will be deleted forever after 60 days. If these files are shared, editors can restore them and viewers can still view them until they are permanently deleted. You can restore the files or delete them permanently from the Trash.
Copy – Copies all selected files, prompts you to specify a project, folder, or virtual tour, and pastes the files there.
Move to – Moves all selected files to a specified project, folder, or virtual tour.
Trash
The following action is available on a selection of multiple items in Trash.
Remove forever – Deletes the items from the Trash. The action is final and you cannot revert it.
Restore – Brings back the selected items to their previous locations.
