This page provides information on the Grid rollout.

Overview


The Grid rollout allows you to render a volume without any loaded cache from the Input rollout. Without any cache data, you can still map the smoke opacity and color with textures, as well as the fire color and opacity. You can also create opacity for the smoke or fire by offsetting their opacity curves below zero, so that the empty voxels still produce visible density.



Parameters


Voxel Size | cellsz – Specifies the size of voxels along each axis.

– Specifies the number of voxels along the X axis.

Y – Specifies the number of voxels along the Y axis.

– Specifies the number of voxels along the Z axis.

Increase Resolution – Increases the number of voxels along each axis, thus decreasing the cell size.

Decrease Resolution – Decreases the number of voxels along each axis, thus increasing the cell size
