Overview


TheVRayAmbientLight is a V-Ray specific light source plugin that can be used to create light that doesn't come from a specific direction. It can be used to simulate GI, ambient occlusion, etc. You can attach a texture to the tex input.

 


 

UI Path: ||Toolbar|| > V-Ray menu icon > Lights > VRayLightAmbient

 

 

Inputs


The VRayLightAmbient node has two input nodes.

 

 

tex – Use this input to feed the environment texture that is going to be used to illuminate the scene.

axis – Used to apply transformations to the Ambient Light.

 

Parameters


 


 

 

Color – Controls the color of the light. When using photometric units, this color is normalized so that only the color hue is used. The light intensity is determined by the Intensity parameter.

Intensity – Controls the intensity of the light.
