This page provides information on Telemetry integration for the V-Ray for Rhino Improvement Program.
Overview
The V-Ray improvement program is based on telemetry. It allows Chaos Group to track general V-Ray usage statistics. This includes parameter values that people use most often, which helps Chaos Group optimize and improve V-Ray's performance. No personally identifiable information, scenes, assets, or materials are collected.
The collected data is sent daily and is stored locally in vray-swarm (V-Ray for Rhinoceros X).log files viewable with a text editor (where X is the number of the Rhino version). They can be found in the temp folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp.
Feedback Program Settings
The Feedback program is activated by enabling the Help us Improve V-Ray for Rhinoceros checkbox, available upon completing the V-Ray for Rhinoceros installation.
Collection and transmission of usage statistics can be disabled or renewed at any time through V-Ray for Rhino's Asset Editor > Settings > Configuration.
