This page provides information on the V-Ray Render Solar Study option.
Overview
To render Solar Study, Revit Sun Settings must be set to Single Day or Multi-Day in a 3D view mode.
Only then the V-Ray Production Render button is transformed to Render Solar Study button.
Clicking on Render Solar Study, exports all frames with different sun positions, as set in Revit, and renders them sequentially.
Note that when Render Solar Study button is available, clicking Render in Chaos Cloud, executes the solar study rendering in Chaos Cloud.
To render more than one frame, first enable Auto-Save and specify the file path and type from Settings → Renderer tab → Auto-Save. Image options can be also changed. For more information, see Renderer.
To change the number of frames, use Revit Sun Settings.
