Overview
Installing V-Ray for Cinema 4D from a .zip file provides the advantage of easy setup and flexible folder management.
When installing V-Ray for Cinema 4D from a .zip file, note that Chaos Cosmos is not included by default in the installation. To add it, you can separately download and install it.
Required Steps
- Unpack the .zip file to a directory of your choice.
- Select the V-Ray folder and cut or copy it.
Paste it to the Maxon's plugins folder. For Windows by default, it is located in C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D Rxx\plugins. For macOS, it is located in /Aplications/Maxon Cinema 4D RXX/plugins.
If you already have an existing V-Ray folder there, replace it with the one from the archive.
- You are all set and ready to start Cinema 4D, where V-Ray is automatically loaded.
