This page describes the Raw Diffuse Filter Render Element.
Overview
The Raw Diffuse Filter Render Element is similar to the Diffuse Render Element, except it is not affected by Fresnel falloff. The result is a solid mask showing the pure diffuse color as set in the V-Ray Material's settings.
Parameters
The parameters for this render element appear in the Attribute Editor under Extra V-Ray Attributes.
Enabled – When enabled, the render element appears in the V-Ray Virtual Frame Buffer.
Deep output – Specifies whether to include this render element in deep images.
Filename suffix – The text added to the end of the rendered file, when saved as a separate file (e.g. myrender.rawDiffuseFilter.vrimg).
Denoise – Enables the render element's denoising, provided the Denoiserrender element is present.
This render element is not supported with V-Ray GPU rendering.
Notes
- The Raw Diffuse Filter Render Element is not very commonly used in compositing. It may be useful when used in conjunction with the Diffuse Render Element, when pure black and white values are needed for a specific compositing job.
