This page provides information about the Overrides tab of the V-Ray Render Settings in Cinema 4D.
Overview
Override settings are global parameters that supersede or replace other individual settings in other parts of the V-Ray user interface. This is useful for making temporary changes on a scene-wide basis, which is useful for diagnosing scenes, as well as refining and finding optimizations.

Camera Overrides
The Camera overrides control the way the scene geometry is projected onto the image, therefore changing how the render looks. More info: Camera Overrides.
Geometry Overrides
The Geometry overrides control the types of objects that are exported to V-Ray for rendering. More info: Geometry Overrides
Lights Overrides
The Lighting overrides control some lighting aspects of the render. More info: Lights Overrides
Materials Overrides
The Materials overrides control how shading effects are rendered, and can be used to globally override certain shared parameters throughout the scene. More info: Materials Overrides
Textures Overrides
The Textures overrides control whether V-Ray renders textures in your scene and/or filter them. More info: Textures Overrides
Rendering Overrides
The Rendering overrides can be used to override certain aspects of the way the scene is rendered. More info: Rendering Overrides
Environment Overrides
The Environment overrides specifiy colors or texture maps to be used during GI and reflection/refraction calculations. More info: Environment Overrides
Volumetrics Overrides
The Volumetrics overrides allow you to enable probabilistic sampling for volumetrics. More info: Volumetric Overrides
