This page provides information about the user interface of Chaos Vantage.
Overview
Title Bar
Vantage's title bar displays the name and file format of the currently loaded scene in Chaos Vantage. You can also minimize, maximize, or close Vantage from this bar.
The title bar is located on top of the application.
Home Screen
Chaos Vantage Home, also known as Home screen, is a welcome screen that appears when opening the Vantage application. It allows you to open empty scene files or existing ones; provides you with links to useful websites; and gives you access to various sample scenes. You can also access it from the toolbar.
Menus
Chaos Vantage has a menu bar with several menus that give you access to a range of functionalities for managing your scene performance and settings.
Toolbar
Chaos Vantage top toolbar provides you with options for creating, selecting and manipulating objects in the scene, such as cameras, fur, decal, clipper and many more. You can also access the Chaos Cosmos Library from the top toolbar.
Viewport Bar
Vantage viewport bar contains camera settings such as pick focus, grid overlay, auto exposure and compensation, etc., as well as render settings such as viewing modes, quality presets, denoiser settings, options for display corrections and navigation, and many more.
Status Bar
The Status bar provides access to the Debug Log which contains information about last frame render time, loading progress, quick tips and more. The Status bar also provides information about the render status.
Animation Editor
The Animation Editor allows for an easy way to create animations inside Chaos Vantage. It has a compressed and expanded modes.
Left Side Panel
Chaos Vantage's left-hand side panel has three tabs that contain settings for manipulating the camera and render settings, and adding color corrections to the scene.
Right Side Panel
Chaos Vantage's right-hand side panel has five tabs that contain settings for manipulating the environment and lighting; creating, assigning and listing materials, creating and listing objects and lights, as well as creating scene states. The Light lister, Scene outliner, Material lister, and Material editor are part of the right side panel.
